Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years experience as system administrator in Microsoft network environment
  • Expert knowledge of Windows Server and Exchange Server
  • Advanced knowledge of Windows XP and Windows 7.
  • Advanced knowledge of troubleshooting and maintaining PCs
  • Advanced knowledge of TCP/IP networking, LAN/WAN connections, routers, switches, and firewalls
  • Excellent multi-tasking and organizational skills
  • Ability to create network diagrams, and detailed documentation for IT procedures
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT field or related is preferred

High-level administrative skills including installation and maintenance of:

  • Windows 2003/2008/2012 Server and Active Directory
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010
  • Citrix XenApp
  • Symantec Endpoint Antivirus
  • Symantec Backup Exec
  • Blackberry Enterprise Server
  • VMWare ESXi
  • Microsoft Hyper-V
  • Microsoft SharePoint
  • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS)

Excellent working knowledge of:

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • DNS, DHCP, FTP
  • Cisco firewall configuration
  • VPN setup and administration
  • Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 8
  • PC assembly, setup, and configuration
  • Data backup and recovery systems
  • UPS system setup and power load balancing

Other Preferred Skills:

  • Cisco ASA firewall configuration
  • Google Postini administration
  • Linux server administration

Primary responsibilities:

  • Maintain internal systems including, but not limited to: servers, desktop computers, networks, printers, electronic equipment, and phone systems
  • Manage Active Directory users, and Exchange email accounts
  • Manage company firewall, routers, switches, and network security
  • Daily monitoring of network and server status
  • Support local and remote users as needed
  • Keep the company up-to-date with latest technologies
  • Recommend hardware/software purchases as needed
  • Monitor daily backup systems
  • PC assembly setup, and configuration
  • Software installation and configuration
  • Install network and telephone cable and connectors as needed
  • Document IT procedures, configurations, and network infrastructure
