Department - Engineering Services
SUMMARY
Responsible for supervising the preparation, production, reproduction and distribution of company technical publications.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)
- Prepares and distributes technical manuals, bulletins, letters, etc., in compliance with appropriate ATA guidelines
- Communicates with necessary personnel in Engineering, Program Management, Customer Service, Manufacturing Engineering and other functional departments, so as to ensure timely and accurate completion of activities
- Maintains knowledge base of the ATA publications standards, and communicates the requirements to management
- Prepares source data for computer entry by compiling and sorting information; establishing entry priorities
- Processes customer and account source documents by reviewing data for deficiencies; resolving discrepancies by using standard procedures or returning incomplete documents to the team leader for resolution
- Enters customer and account data by inputting alphabetic and numeric information on keyboard
- Maintains data entry requirements by following data program techniques and procedures
- Verifies entered customer and account data by reviewing, correcting, deleting, or reentering data
- Maintains operations by following policies and procedures; reporting needed changes
- Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed

- Good technical knowledge and expertise regarding the services to be delivered to the Customer. Must be able to resolve communication and technical issues regarding the services
- Able to demonstrate creativity and ingenuity, recommending changes in procedures or tools/services as appropriate
- Able to perform customer-level liaison: setting and accomplishing goals with customer, maintaining professional relationship with customer
- Must have demonstrated supervisory skills with ability to guide and direct staff and work in a team environment
- Able to manage schedules for projects undertaken, and allocate resources as appropriate to balance schedule, risk, and customer requirements
- Able to work with Senior Management and employees to identify areas of risk and address problems in a timely fashion
- Able to assist Senior Management in the development and administration of the departmental budget and to ensure fiscally responsible use of funds
- Able to manage multiple concurrent projects
- Able to work independently as well as in a distributed team environment
- Knowledge of electro-mechanical drawings and support documentation
- Understanding of various publication processes such as editing, illustration, writing, production phases
- Professional familiarity with ATA-100 and ATA iSpec2200 specifications
- Knowledge of aviation industry regulatory bodies (for example, FAA) general requirements
- Must be able to actively pursue learning position and mastering job skills and requirements
- Able to use general office equipment
QUALIFICATIONS
- B.S. in Computer Science, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, English, or Business, Communications, as applicable.
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Typing skills of 60 wpm
- An energetic, forward-thinking, and creative individual with high ethical standards and an appropriate professional image
- Proven ability to lead and direct multiple team activities autonomously
- Strong communication skills as well as a high degree of creativity, ingenuity and business judgment are required. The individual should be a good listener and capable of providing customers an acceptable forum to communicate their needs and provide solutions to reported issues or problems.
- Strong analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects
